If you're a Croydon parent working out care for next year, or you've just been wondering what's going up on Beaufort Road, here's the answer. Village Early Education is building a new early learning centre at 65-67 Beaufort Rd, and it's due to open on 27 January 2027.

The centre will offer childcare and kindergarten programs for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, open 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. It's a 122-place service with seven rooms. Village describes itself as family-owned and operated, and it already runs centres in Heathmont, Burwood East and Springvale, as well as some rural services. A Ferntree Gully centre is also due to open in January 2027.

So what will it actually be like? Village says the building has been designed around how children experience space. That means soft, curved walls, round windows that let the light in, and natural materials throughout. Outside, the playground and landscaping are going in now, with a focus on nature-based outdoor learning. Or, in the team's own words, "Nature, adventure and learning, all in the great outdoors."

Come and have a look before it opens

Here's the nice part. Rather than waiting for opening day, the team is inviting the whole neighbourhood in. Their invitation puts it simply: "Come along for a family fun day to help us celebrate being part of the Croydon community."
